  1. What a wonderful post at Seekerville! And what an informative website! I NEED all this great information, Vince, and I so appreciate all your hard work in setting it up here. Thank you! Now that I've found you, I'll be stopping by regularly. (And thanks, too, for the wonderful words about OPEN COUNTRY on your eHarlequin blog.)

  2. Hi Kaki:

Great to have you come by! Thanks for your kind comments. I’m glad you liked my eHarlequin review of “Open Country” but does that mean you didn’t like my much more comprehensive review here? : )

  3. OMG! You did one here, too? Usually Google alerts me to reviews! I'm going to hunt it down right now. I'll talk to you in a minute.

  4. You're a dear, Vince. And obviously stunningly brilliant! (More comments after the OC review--I don't want to further embarrass you here). Thank you!

  5. Hi Kaki:

I’d love to go back to Crested Butte but I’m a flatlander and that place is too high for me already! My wife did fine there but I had altitude sickness the whole time.

I have St. Louis planned for this year. The ACFW conference.

You know, you were so personable and friendly to everyone at the Crested Butte conference, (you were the first to ask what other people were writing) that I thought you wrote sweet Christian romances. You can imagine how I had to do a few paradigm shifts as I read your book! Wow!

  6. LOL, Vince. Even though I am a Christian, and strive to be sweet, I often fall short of the mark. And sadly, I find the flaws in a person more interesting than the virtues--it's that struggle between good and less-good that makes the characters. I know my writing has an edge that some might find offensive--but like me, my characters "endeavor to perseverence" and at least TRY to do the right thing. That they often fail makes them more human. (At least that's the excuse I give myself.) And you'd best not read PIECES OF SKY; Brady crosses some lines before he almost loses everything and comes to his senses.
