Writing Quote of the Day

“No matter how high one’s TBR pile of books becomes, there will always be at least one book that will seem as if it is taking forever to be released.”

  1. Hi Amber:

I think this is one of those statements that is almost self-verifying. All you have to do it test it on yourself. Right now the book I can't wait to read is Mary Connealy's "Stuck Together" in which the hero is Vince. The book before that which seemed like forever to come out was Ruth Logan Herne's "Red Kettle Christmas" which takes place in NYC in 1947 at a time I was there. I was even held up on my Father's shoulders to get a better look at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. It is fun to wait the longest time for a book to come out and then to just gobble it up! I always hope I will have a book that I can't wait for it to be released.

Thanks for your comment. BTW: I now have a great cover for my romance. Now I have to get the copy ready for the editor. Things are getting interesting. : )

    1. Yep! I'm eagerly awaiting a couple of pre-orders (My Hope is Found by Joanne Bischof, which is finally coming this next week, and The Captive Maiden by Melanie Dickerson, which should be coming in November). I'm also super excited for Cress by Marissa Meyer, the third book in the "Lunar Chronicles" series, which is being released in early 2014. Oh, and God's Daughter - a viking novel by Heather Day Gilber, coming in November - looks interesting! I'm sure there are dozens of books I could think of that I can't wait for, despite the dozens and dozens of books I already own that I haven't read yet. ;)

And Vince!! Congratulations on getting a cover and preparing the book for your editor! Can't wait to hear more! :)
